All categories of the big screen are contained: feature films, documentaries, short films and tourist commercials that even compete for the prestigious Global Cinema Awards.

Excellent screening selections have been made, as noted by film critics, for GTFF 2023.

Entities such as tourism boards and ministries from Canada, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Australia, Korea, Japan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Bhutan, Tanzania, Sudan, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Jordan, among others, are represented.

Attendees will also be able to receive updates and announcements of important future tourism developments from selected seminars.

This Tourism-Cinema union is a global effort.

According to experts, film tourism moves more than 480 million tourists a year.

Almost unnoticed by viewers around the world, the filming and production of movies promotes tourism in the areas where they are made by presenting powerful images on the big screen.

Shooting high-profile films in a location in any country attracts essential events for tourism such as the movement of personnel, equipment and subcontracting that it implies, trade and visits.

The images on the screens go around the world without the need for passports or tickets, thus planting the seeds of personally seeing the so-called film sets.

Artists and producers, especially those in Hollywood, have cultivated these tourist goals and desires. Mention is made of “stars” such as Jennifer López, Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt, who are seen in images frequently walking along the Caribbean beaches.

The First Global Tourism Film Festival (GTFF), in association with the Canadian city of North Bay, has invited travel professionals to GTFF 2023 live events.

They have been offered exclusive accommodations associated with a free familiarization program exclusive to North Bay and will receive an overview of the tourist attractions of the city and the region, which make North Bay the “Hallmark Capital of the World”.

As for the convened seminars, they will allow tourism professionals to discover the unique cultural and historical attributes of the participating destinations.

They also allow for an expert look at how to successfully market destinations. Attendees can also receive updates and announcements of important upcoming tourism developments from select seminars.

All are good ideas -and with a positive impact- for the recovery that world tourism is facing successfully and gradually.
